There’s something timeless about lacing up your walking boots, stepping out into nature, and discovering the hidden gems of the Wirral countryside. At Hillbark Hotel & Spa, we believe luxury isn’t confined to four walls.
That’s why our Hillbark Hikes have become a guest favourite—an immersive experience blending wellbeing, adventure, and a touch of heritage, all set against the glorious backdrop of the Wirral Peninsula.
The Hillbark Hike is a curated walking route that begins and ends at our iconic five-star hotel. It’s designed to offer more than just exercise; it’s a chance to explore the rich tapestry of the local landscape, reconnect with nature, and—of course—return to Hillbark for a well-earned refreshment or two. With fresh air, spectacular views, and charming detours through Royden Park and Thurstaston Common, this isn’t just a walk. It’s an experience.
And we’re proud to say that this experience captured regional attention back in 2020, when BBC North West featured our very own Hotel Manager, Amanda Arends. The broadcast highlighted the passion behind Hillbark Hikes and helped share our story far and wide—putting our Hikes quite literally “on the map.” It was a moment we’ll always treasure, and it’s continued to inspire locals and travellers alike to see our beautiful corner of England in a new light.
After your hike, why not unwind on the terrace with a glass of something sparkling or indulge in one of our award-winning afternoon teas? You’ve earned it.
Whether you’re staying with us or simply visiting for the day, the monthly Hillbark Hike is free to all.
